Founder & Lead Instructor
Jeff is the founder and lead instructor of Modern Threat Consulting. For nearly 20 years, he has served as a federal law enforcement agent and has spent just as long teaching self-defense, personal safety, and active threat response to teachers, parents, students, business professionals, law enforcement, and military personnel. He is also a third-degree black belt in Krav Maga.
His approach is practical and approachable, with no previous experience required. The focus is on realistic training that people can understand, remember, and actually use.
Support for Groups of Every Size
For larger programs, Jeff is joined by a team of certified Krav Maga instructors, most with backgrounds in law enforcement or military service. Our instructors share the same patient, welcoming approach and adapt training to different abilities and experience levels.
Working as a team allows us to provide hands-on practice, realistic scenarios, and individual attention - whether we're training a staff of 15 or 150.
Our goal is simple: help people become more aware, more confident, and better prepared to protect themselves and those around them.
Based in the Washington, DC region, Modern Threat Consulting primarily serves organizations throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia, with training and consulting available nationwide.
